Jonalyn is a Brooklyn based artist. She is a Dancer, Teacher and Choreographer. A passionate Dance Educator, Jonalyn has enjoyed teaching Youth Recreational Dance at Colorado’s Peak Athletics along with Adult classes at the Cherry Creek Athletic Center. Jonalyn began her training at a young age in Brockton Massachusetts at The Gold School, formerly Sherry Gold Dance Studio. Studying Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary and Modern techniques including Horton and Limon under the Direction of Rennie Gold. In 2009 Jonalyn attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst under a Chancellor’s Talent award where she performed works by Camille A. Brown, David Dorfman and Pearl Primus' Strange Fruit before graduating with a B.F.A in Dance. In 2013 she became a member of Dayton Contemporary Dance's second company under the tutelage of Shonna Hickman-Matlock. Jonalyn moved west in 2014 to dance with The Cleo Parker Robinson 2nd company where she performed works among artist such as Edgar Page, Gary Abbott, Theo Jamison and Baba Chuck Davis, as well as leading in the company's annual holiday presentation of Granny Dances to a Holiday Drum (2015). In 2018 Jonalyn performed with Edgar L. Page: Feel the Movement as a founding Company member during their inaugural season. Additionally, she has performed with the Davis Dance Company performing works by Rachel Harding and Terrell Davis

After re-locating East to New York City, Jonalyn presented her original work Beyond the thick of it in BalaSole’s Gamme at the Ailey Citigroup Theatre.
Currently Jonalyn is living in Brooklyn, NY pursuant to continue teaching, creating and performing in the New York and New England areas.
